Sterna tern seen with slightly smaller Arctic. In comparison to the latter, it showed less black on the crown, less black around the eye, yellow-orange at the base of the bill, brightly colored legs, it stood taller than the Arctic, and it had a large, obvious carpal bar on the wing coverts.
