First found by Gary Langell and later confirmed as Sooty Terns by Don Gorney. Observed by many birders as the pair flew along the east edge of Lake Monroe. Birds were relatively large for a tern and flew swiftly and powerfully. White underside with dark back and top of wing. White in front at base of bill. The white at the neck did not extend as a collar. Dark tail with thin white edges.
