Flyover. Calling frequently. Piercing series of “pip” calls. Large shorebird with long, down curved bill and hefty brown body and sturdy wings. Audio. This bird flew in in the rain and circled the ponds a few times before swinging out to the west and eventually turning to head northwards. May be worth checking wet areas near Bald Hill?
