观察细节

This loon might be injured, sick or fatigued. It was first spotted 2 meters offshore. It seemed focused on preening, digging at one part of it's chest. It also did a few wing flaps that lifted it erect out of the water. It then hunted for sand eels, and we watched it hork down a few. Then it came ashore right where we were sitting, vocalizing quietly. (I learned that loons can't walk, they just scoot). It came up to.a meter away from us. It was preening it's chest in that one place (and also a bit on the wing). Then it just sat there calmly, occasionally trilling quietly.
