Most individuals of the red-tailed shrike complex in Qatar that are identified to race are phoenicuroides/Turkestan shrike. Certainly the vast majority of bright adult males are Turkestan shrike. Today I found this cracking male isabellinus, which is only one of a handful of obvious isabellinus males I have seen in 4 years here.
