Continuing bird, now in maybe 95% breeding plumage (still with some tan-brown in the auriculars and some incompletely molted pale rear crown feathers; neither of these features are apparent in normal binocular views but they're easy to see in photos). I'll refrain from specifying in the "Age and Sex" grid, but if I did specify, I'd label this an immature since even though it appears a breeding plumaged adult, it's fairly certain that this was a first-winter in February, and so is currently less than one year old. It's unclear to me that "age and sex" refers to simply the bird's appearance at the time of the sighting, or what is known from its history.
