This adult Little Gull was found across from the Brown's Ferry Nuclear Plant on the TN River in Alabama, December 2003. It has to be my favorite small gull. I've found this species three times in TN (now 6 times with birds at Reelfoot found in 09, 10 and 2011), the first record was in March, 1988 in Memphis and another was seen off Pace Point in Henry Co. I found an adult and an immature at Reelfoot Lake in Lake Co, in November and December, 2005. I've seen these small gulls numerous times in north Mississippi and once in southwest Arkansas. I hope to replace it as my favorite small gull with a Ross's Gull if I can get lucky one more time. (I was fortunate enough to finally see a Ross's Gull in South Dakota in Dec. 2010)
