Photos, video. Rare for Haida Gwaii. Interestingly, I heard calls from my house a couple hours before this observation that I believed to be evening grosbeak. However, given the rarity, I was hesitant to add it as an observation. Even Caroline recognized the calls as odd though! Nice to get a visual confirmation in the same day. These birds have been around since late November.
