Beached bird at base of dunes found by E. Ehrlich; photos taken by A. Orgill; lethargic but alert and responsive, taken for rehabilitation at Amos Rehabilitation Keep (ARK). Bird measures slightly smaller than referenced in Pyle with wing cord 282.1mm, Tarsus 52.9mm, Tail length 120.3mm, Exposed culmen 38.5mm. However, measurements are too large for other species and the white U is present on the uppertail coverts which is definitive for this species. AHY bird due to clean white nape
