This recording corresponds to the individual seen and photographed at mile 1.01 from the entrance
观察细节
Two individuals of a somewhat large Empidonax with a faint eyering, a rather large beak and in my opinion a larger PP than the Least Flycatcher but shorter than other similar flycatchers. Recorded and photographed the first one, photographed the second one. The first one was sallying from the sugar berries of the side of the trail about 1.01 miles from the beginning of the trail, around here: (29.5779811, -82.2632965). Upon seeing it I waited until any sound whatsoever was emitted and recorded to secure ID. It finally emitted a few “Pip” or “Peet” calls (whichever the proper onomatopoeic word is) which I fortunately recorded. Photographed as well. The second one is a continuing bird, which I only photographed (didn’t vocalize) and was located exactly 1.9 miles from the entrance of the trail as reported by Tim Hardin, and was sallying from a sugar berry tree to the right of the trail. Will upload pics and sound.
