*Rare* Male pileated woodpecker - large black woodpecker with red crest and iridescent red patch on face. Flew in from the treeline to a tree by campsite 38. Heard (very loud, as usual) and saw clear as day and got great photos. Very familiar with these birds from back east where they are common.
