Juvenile phalarope with fine bill, dark mask, white underneath, and darkly streaked back. Keeping company with Sanderlings and peeps on the beach, foraging in a somewhat sandpiper style. Seemed to have some feathers out of place on its left side and appeared to be fatigued when I first found it. Photos.
