Singing and calling while foraging in trees.
观察细节
Marked rare. Seen at 38.6062009, 68.7797262. Plus code JQ4H+7G7 Dushanbe. Was still calling when I left. Heard high pitched call and tracked it down in small trees with thick foliage. It later briefly visited bamboo stand and taller trees that had fewer leaves. While foraging hung upside down under stems like a tit or chickadee. Was in the same area as some Hume’s Warblers and Common Chiffchaffs. Played recording extensively and the bird responded, first with call, and later with song, which was generally three chipping notes followed by three buzzy high pitched notes ‘chup-chup-chup tseee-tseee-tseee’. Tiny bird with rather long tail, chestnut back, thin bill, white crown, throat, and belly, and distinctive black mask that extended onto nape, unlike Eurasian Penduline-Tit. Will re-review my observation if EPTI at this location. If confirmed, this is the first record in the Botanical Garden. Will submit photos and audio recordings. Life bird!
