Continuing? (Maybe related to the individual reported on 12/21/22 at Johnson Bayou--Long Beach Rd.) Pics taken from the beach shore. Five sea ducks, maybe a little more than 100 yards out, were bobbing up and down in the ocean waves. Pale cheek contrasts with the dark head. All appeared to be female black scoters.
