*High, but expected count in this neighborhood. Has been historically good for sapsuckers. One way circle of the neighborhood to avoid any double counting. Based on # of fresh holes present I would guess there could be close to 10 birds in the neighborhoods. Mid sized woodpeckers with red heads, all fairly dull, eliminating ruber. Photos of most individuals. The hunt for the red-naped must continue.
