观察细节
Tom Wurster called our attention to a good size flock of Red Crossbills flying overhead near “the meadow” less than a 1/4th mile north of the Blue Jay Campground entrance along Long Canyon Road. In one photo taken by Tom Fangrow, 8 birds were “captured.” 5 were red males, and 3 were female/immature type. Tom Wurster commented that he saw mostly red males. Edana counted 11 birds.
