Originally found here a few weeks ago by Roger. Seen at (38.5140808, -122.0713744). Whitish throat. Seen and heard well. Added recording that has both winter and pacific wrens calling at same time. Advice on seeing this bird: 1) sit on the ground on a rock at the edge of the stream and wait for it to come in. It was very shy and took a while to show itself. Was initially at the far west-end of the island. 2) bird responded (via loud calls/chattering calls) to winter wren and pacific wren recordings. 3) bird only came near us when we played a pacific wren song on loop continuously, eventually coming a few feet away and flying back and forth across creek calling back at us staying close for an extended time (while recordings were playing) 4) bird seemed to come nearer only when we played pacific wren. I realize that is counter-intuitive, or at least it is to me (Eric) 5) at no time did either of the pacific wrens come in close enough for us to see them
