#06 1550 GULL While counting the HERGs on U Thant Island a gull with light gray primaries with definite white spots on the primary tips was spotted on the west side of U Thant. I've looked online and this pattern closely matches Glaucous-winged Gull but an aberrant HERG plumage or hybrid is not out of the question. The gull was nearly the same size as the surrounding Herring Gulls. Attached is a poor phone-scoped photo. Will attempt to photograph with the point-and-shoot Sony HX-90V if the gull is seen again.
