观察细节
Started the morning by heading over to the bramble patch (across from the barn on the south west corner of the intersection of trails) where it has been reported previously at. It first appeared at 7:28 a.m. amongst about a dozen Savannah's in the bramble patch. It then flew a small distance to the right and dropped down into the grasses. It then reappeared, at the same general spot, at about 7:53 for a few seconds. I attempted to wave in another birder who had shown up but the LeConte's then flew into the field across from the rusty wheel/barn (south). Howard Wu eventually entered and was able to relocate it in that field. Looks were obtained before it eventually flew about 40 yards south and ducked in the grasses. I left the area but came back awhile later with other birders having relocated it and it eventually returned to the same area where Howard had relocated it (basically due south of the central tree that splits the path between the barn and this field). I was able to get a couple recordings with the one recording containing sounds of a Savannah's too. The LeConte's call was very shrill. It did seem to vocalize, announcing its position, as it popped into view a couple of times. Thanks Jacques Pitteloud for the initial find.
