The Sulphur-bellied Flycatcher was observed and photographed in trees near the main drip from 12:10 pm through 12:17 pm. The bird was a large flycatcher with a dark-streaked yellow breast and belly. The bird had olive brown upperparts and brown wings with the feathers edged with white. The bird had thick black eye-stripes on a pale face, dark eyes and a robust bill that was pink at the base. The distal half of the bill was darker with a small hook at the end. The bird had a rufous tail that was somewhat frayed. The bird was observed and photographed catching and consuming a Golden Silk Orb Weaver Spider (Trichonephila clavipes).
