terrible terrible photo. probably less than one star

Continuing. Large loon. Brown neck band, steep forehead, spot behind the eye. Pale-colored bill seen clearly and often held pointed slightly upwards. Watched for 15+ minutes through a spotting scope. Very good lighting, watched preening and stretching wings but it never dove. Briefly tucked its head under wing but was a bit more alert, especially when the eagle flew past to the east. Hopefully it sticks around. We only saw one loon from this spot. Best views were from the point north of the gate/parking area.
