观察细节

very unusual for July, with a large flock of 17 (15 in tight group with two trailing a bit) coming up from S and heading NNW over house; I expect flocks of Great Blues in Mar-Apr and to a lesser extent Oct-Nov, but this may be the first time I have seen this in midsummer, although post-breeding/post-fledging dispersal somewhat expected. Later at 9:06 I heard one and looked up to see three more, ageable as adults, flying on same NNW track. Then at 9:09 I saw eight more, again all adults. Low single ad on slightly more northerly track at 9:36 then one more on same line two minutes later, with both angling more NW after crossing over house.
