Swainson’s Spurfowl is often seen foraging on road verges for seeds, insects and other food. The sexes are similar, but males are much larger and seem to have brighter red throats than females. This male was giving his harsh call from a prominent perch near dusk on the H8 road near Olifants Restcamp in Kruger National Park. Elevation: 287 m. Date added to IBC: July 3, 2018.
