Adult foraging at compost piles with dozens of other gulls. The Iceland is slightly higher-pitched than the predominate Herring Gulls surrounding it, and it is distinctly two-noted at the end. The first call is a short two-noted call, and begins at :06 seconds from the beginning of the cut (including announcement). The second is a long call that begins at :13.5 seconds and consists of five main phrases and one very short note after. Finally, the third segment is another longer call, although the beginning is difficult to distinguish amongst the Herring Gulls. It begins at :22 in the cut and continues for about 6 seconds. The most easily discernible notes are two calls at the end of this call sequence that are very similar to the two notes in the first segment, and are present at :28 from the beginning of the entire cut. Other Behaviors: Aggression/defense. Equipment Notes: Audio extracted from Canon 7D video file.
