Note the pink instead of light blue color of the facial skin. Note that the white border is skin and not feathers as in a White-faced Ibis.

This bird was initially identified (lazily) as a White-faced Ibis, but was flagged as a hybrid Glossy x White-faced. The reviewer invalidated the record and contacted me to make the change, explaining: “Note the pink instead of light blue color of the facial skin. Note that the white border is skin and not feathers as in a White-faced Ibis”. After reviewing the photo and getting confirmation from a few others, I agreed and updated to Glossy x White-faces Ibis (hybrid). A wonderful example of the eBird review process at its best!
