A bright cinnamon-brown small flycatcher with noticeable crest, two pale wingbars, light edging on the tertials, small pale eyering, short somewhat squarish tail with rounded tips, bill darker top with pale lower bill Vocalized 60% of time particularly when actively flycatching with short chwee chwee notes, 2-3 at a time.
