Деталі спостереження
*Rare, continuing in the area. Refound yet again after encountering it from both Matthiessen and Scenic Hudson Parks in Irvington, which was pretty remarkable. Didn’t notice the bird at first when I first scanned from the hill, with the bird blending right into the snow (lol), but once it started moving towards the pond I finally noticed. Beautifully marbled juvenile with patches of white, gray, and brown, giving it the appearance of being splotched with snow. Photographed the bird as it stood at the edge of the pond then dropped down to the water. Upon photo inspection, this bird's plumage seems to match that of Tom's bird (albeit dirtier now) on the golf course he found on 12/19, which would be very interesting. Would be awesome if this bird stuck till the CBC tomorrow; the Hudson Valley sector hasn’t had one since 1993. Original notes here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S290643002
