Shocking change from yesterday when I had 57 birds here. I purposely positioned myself at the staging area they used yesterday to document better the amazing numbers. I was there at the same time, had the same conditions as yesterday, but today no birds, no grackles or cowbirds gathered. The one male seen today was in the Red-winged Blackbird foraging flock near the northern boat ramp.
