Continuing bird, photo to follow. Wingtips past tail, though that was hard to tell until it turned perpendicular to us, my first views were straight on as it was resting. It was speckled, more golden than a BBPL, and had a darker rufous-ish cap. That could have been the overcast lighting but def stood out.
