Деталі спостереження
Stakeout bird, first time I could look without rain. Heard it calling a lot but usually hidden in cattails. I did get to see it chase after a Red-wing while Amy Kearns was present. It also landed in top of cattail while she was present. When Amy got back to her vehicle, a bird came flying out of cattails and went upwards at a 30 degree angle to attack what I think was a female Red-wing flying over at about 300 feet high. As that bird literally dove back downwards at a 45 degree angle with wings folded I could see it was the Yellow-headed Blackbird. About 20 minutes later the bird flew higher than the cattails and brush and I finally got a flight photo. Yellow-head and white patches in wings visible. Later it flew past me and across water to cattails in far southwest corner of MPW. 90 minutes later it was back at this location.
