Деталі спостереження
Continuing singing male. Tiny warbler with short tail, egg yolk chest (orange on a splotch of yellow from my best recollection), yellow throat and yellowy-orange lower mandible. White wingbars, though not as strong as I’ve seen in this species, broken white eyering, white underside/undertail, blue-grey head and wings. Will have to examine photos for field marks to determine if bird is male or female (now that I have, the bird has dark lores and black on upper breast band, indicating male. Also, its back was pale though upper back was green). Bird foraging high in cypress, sometimes perching and singing, sometimes foraging and singing, sometimes flying between trees. Song wasn’t as loud as I’ve heard from this species, though an obvious rising bug-like trill with a peep at the end, which was sung repeatedly. Photos/recording.
