*rare; returning bird from last year at same site. Spotted fairly easily singing in mid story after crossing creek and creeping through rhododendron; tracked for close to an hour watching it forage in leaf litter and sing. Very confiding with a lot of patience; no playback used. Awesome encounter with this unique and secretive species!
