Whewwwwww buddy what a morning! Male (K,X) and female (X,K) near corner of farm field continuing, but have moved slightly west into the meadow and have built their third nest. As of now, it contains 3 BEVI eggs and 0 BHCO eggs. Female caught and banded with black color band on her right leg. Male (X,R) and female (X,W) still present near “no dumping” sign. Second nesting attempt is underway, containing 1 BEVI egg and 0 BHCO eggs. Male (X,B) still present just east of the parking lot with no female detected. A BRAND NEW PAIR has shown up within the last week, located about 50 feet after the Greenway Trail begins to curve east away from Darby Creek Drive. The male (R/B, X) was banded but the female was only present for a few minutes before disappearing. They appeared to be starting the very beginning of a nest, weaving spiderwebs/grass around a branch for the skeleton of the attachment. The pair that was furthest north on the Greenway Trail about midway around the big curve of the trail before it crosses the road has resurfaced after not being detected since June 5th. The male (X,Y) was very agitated and began scolding me as soon as I walked up the trail without doing anything else. He was observed carrying food several times before disappearing and reappearing without it. Heard two calls from the areas where he disappeared that sounded like juvenile calls but was unable to confirm visually. I confirmed visually the following day that the calls I heard were from the juvenile BEVI and they are included in my total now.
