These are not the best of photos but, as I walked down and around the trail on Jul 10 2016 @ 11:10 , I encountered this King Rail and her two chicks, Photos attached. Although I only was able to acquire a single chick in the photo the second chick was trailing to the far right and ran across the trail after they spotted me. The entire encounter lasted all of 30 seconds so I was lucky to get a couple photos. The date and time is from the camera settings and my notes.
