Деталі спостереження
First heard a two-toned buzz at 6:26am, similar to the buzz on Gregor's recording of yesterday evening of the Golden Winged Warbler. Today's buzz was not recognized by Merlin after several attempts to record, but sounds very similar to a Blue Winged Warbler (see BWWA first sound clip for "song" on eBird). No visual obtained by me this morning but a partial visual by Alexi about an hour and a half later while hearing and recording the same call in the same area. Observation is between the tennis courts and dog park, same as where the GWWA was spotted. Wondering if today's audio was yesterday's GWWA, hybrid with the BWWA call. At 0:08, 0:17 (best) and 0:25. See also today's report from Alexi Hobbs. Alternatively, reporting as GWWA/BWWA, per this eBird guidance may be reasonable. https://ebird.org/vt/news/golden-blue-winged-warbler-potpourri-how-to-submit-to-ebird/ I note that from yesterday's photos, the GWWA seems to have the colour attributes of a non-hybrid (black mask, no yellow on breast), but there was a possible similar observation in Vermont of a pure GWWA with BWWA call, and the hypothesis that the hybrid attribute is the call. I'm not inferring it's the same individual, just a similar observation in Vermont where GWWA and BWWA overlap. https://ebird.org/checklist/S137458122
