Temporarily ID'ed as Bicknell's Thrush, to ensure that the reviewers look at this record. Found in the shady area at the west end of the Pool, calling, not singing. Clearly Gray-cheeeked/Bicknell's type, brownish/grayish, no 'buffy-ness' on face and upper chest of Swainson's, no rufous tail of Hermit, no brown-orange tones of Veery. Recording on Merlin - attached and heavily disturbed at the beginning by an ambulance siren, sorry - initially indicated Bicknell's, then indicated Gray-cheeked, and eventually shifted between the two. Grateful to have the reviewer's perspective on this call, and I would be happy to change my ID to either Gray-cheeked or Gray-cheeked/Bicknell's. Thank you! UPDATE: Eventually changed to Gray-cheeked/Bicknell's following discussions with Karen (THANKS!) and other NY County reviewers.
