Merlin Sound ID alerted to a white-throated sparrow call, so I checked for visual confirmation. Found two individuals ground feeding near a single white-crowned sparrow. They tend to forage under dense undergrowth so can be hard to spot. I was able to get a photograph (included) of each individual, and confirm the white throat patch, tan and dark brown crown stripes, yellow patch in front of eye, as distinct from the white-crowned sparrow which had white and black crown and no yellow in front of the eye.
