Деталі спостереження
Photos taken with cell phone by Leslie Malland. Fairly short-tailed warbler (tail noticeably shorter than Pine Warbler), missing its left eye. Foraging in a small pine ~8 feet above the ground right next to the trail. Observed in the same small tree for over five minutes and was still in it when we left. White undertail coverts, white tail spots with black edges underside of tail, very well-defined streaky breast and flanks, streaking crisper than Yellow-rumped or Pine Warbler (also no yellow shoulder patches on this bird). Whitish chin, dark eye stripe, diffuse yellow on chest, pointed narrow bill - narrower at the base than a Pine Siskin, clearly a warbler bill). Single white wing bar on each wing, unlike double white wingbars of some other Setophaga spp. In mixed-species flock with Hermit Thrush and Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets
