Initially stumped. Medium to large empid. Mid to long primary extension. Very faint inconspicuous eyering. Faint indistinct brownish vest on front, almost like a dingy EAWP. Off white underside otherwise didn't seem yellow enough for YBFL but maybe a faint one. In short forest, but within forest, actively feeding and consistently calling "pwit" call. Bill didn't seem particularly wide. Wingbars not particularly bright. Habitat makes me want to rule out WIFL/ALFL. Not prominent eyering and primary projection makes me want to rule out LEFL. I think most likely would be ACFL or YBFL. I would expand ACFL in more mature, lower land forest. I recognize I'm biased towards wanting it to be a YBFL for my county list but trying not to let that affect my decision. Will try to listen to more recordings of calls later. UPDATE: After further review, listening to lots of calls, studying pics, and getting a good look at a WIFL/ALFL two days later, I believe this bird was probably a WIFL. Very faint eyering, not prominent wing bars, larger size, decent primary projection coloration all point to that. And the call seems to fit. It's a bit odd that it was in the forest but the forest was relatively open with the amount of dead (probably ash) trees.
