Деталі спостереження
Rare. At 6:55am on May 8, 2022 from the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory parking area I observed a crow flying south above Long Point Road. The bird called several times, emitting a nasal "gah" note, sounding a bit like a cheap party horn. I called out "Fish Crow!" and Phil Mercier (Bander-in-Charge) and Jess Daze (Deputy Bander) emerged from the banding station and were able to see and hear the bird. Mercier recorded the bird's call. After the initial sighting the bird headed east over Lake Ontario towards Timber Island but then swung back and circled the bird observatory/lighthouse area several times. The crow was present for at least 5 minutes and called 15/20 times. Photographed by me. Recorded by Phil Mercier (initially as eBird incompatible AMR file but now uploaded as a MP4 thanks to the technical expertise of Kyle Blaney).
