Деталі спостереження
Yellow washed vireo, IDed by call recognition with Merlin app. Several recordings uploaded + screenshot of the Merlin screen, which shows time, date and location for 1 of the recordings, however, all were made in the Seneca Rocks picnic areas. I was met at Seneca Rocks by a wall of sound. Though arriving late by birding standards, the birds were active, vocal and largely hidden by nearly fully realized foliage on this almost mid-May day. I successfully photographed a full body exp. of 1 vireo, which turned out to be a warbling vireo. Otherwise, vireos were seen only in part. Though 2 seemed to be Phila. vireos, I can't be sure because I couldn't get photos of anything more than leaves. That leaves us with the Merlin recordings, with a screenshot which shows coordinates, time and date to prove place. Happy to remove the sighting from the list if the sound recordings do not validate the finding.
