Continuing at the battery. It was among Cedar Waxwings, which also have crests, but this bird’s crest is more pronounced, and of course the colors are different. The crest and the upper half of the face is black, with a red patch below the eye and a larger white patch bellow that, with a thin black border on the bottom, separating it from the white throat. I have photos.
