A slow-motion view of a juvenile taking a bath at a mountain spring of iron-rich water. The ring on this individual gives its identity: its name is "Basazoin" and it was marked as a chick in the nest in 2017 (age in this video is 13-14 months), in the Salazar Valley, Navarre, more than 200 km west. Its young age and active bathing shows that this behaviour, related to the acquisition of the rust colour seen in older birds, starts very early in this species' development. Elevation: 1338 m.
