Continuing bird. SE corner of dam. Photos. Lots of photos. When we arrived on dam, I scanned the SE corner where locals had reported that the bird liked to hang out. Saw jaeger-shaped bird flying along shore. Once we got closer, it flew and and landed on peninsula of rocks, seemingly feeding on something in rocks. Got out of car to get closer looks (NOT attempting to approach too closely). Bird obliged a few minutes later by flying in and landing 20 meters in front of us. Bird would feed, then fly to a different point in area. At one point, it flew out and landed in the water about 50m out, bathed and preened for about 15 minutes, then flew back right at us, passing overhead almost at arms reach. Didn't leave the general rocky beach area until an immature RBGU flew over, at which point the LTJA followed the gull along the dam then out over the lake. Perhaps 15 minutes later, it returned. Was foraging on rocky shore from 0830 until at least 1020, when a local fisherman drove his truck out onto shore where the bird had been foraging.
