6:45 pm. Photographed on 6th hole trees from the rail bed.
Деталі спостереження
The change in behavior seen in previous years in mid-April from staging to roost on golf course and rail bed trees to staging to roost on Partridge Island trees was observed along with a large influx of Rusty Blackbirds. The count of 210 is conservative and actual numbers may be closer to 320. Tight flocks of Rusty Blackbirds were counted as they flew from Partridge Island across the rail bed. A few flights of Rusty Blackbirds across the rail bed did stop on trees at the 6th hole on the golf course or on rail bed island but many continued directly on to the stand of trees in the marsh near Elizabeth Way. The first flight of singing RUBL across the rail bed at Beaverdam Brook was at 6:28 pm and most of the trees were empty by 7:15 pm.
