Bird was vocalizing continuously but stopped as I started recording. Robins and Red-winged Blackbirds at the start, then the RUBL can be heard best at 14, 16, 21, and 26 secs as they ascending hi-pitched calls.
Деталі спостереження
Heard first in the north treeline in with the Grackles and RwBb. Some remained after the others left, but eventually flew to the trees near the NE corner by the ditch beginnings to join some others, some coming down low into the shrubs for a brief stay. Vocailizing continually. Small blackbird with pale eye, smaller thin curved bill, shorter rounded tail and male black with rusty patches in the plumages. Name also refers to vocalizations which sound like a rusty door hinge. Like the Greater Yellowlegs, which is both larger than and has more notes to it's call than the Lesser Yellowlegs, the name of this bird can be seen to have two meanings.
