Деталі спостереження
Chose a nearby pine to complete breakfast. It was on the far side of the tree, so I couldn’t determine what breakfast was, but the crows were merciless and unwavering in their harassment. At one point I saw feathers floating away in the air as it tugged them away. By 7:55, all but 8 crows gave up. By 8, the peregrine was sitting in peace, digesting its meal. At 8:11, a single crow flew in from a block away, circled the tree at the level of the falcon, as if checking to see if it was still there. It was. It continued its flight back to its origin. Feathers still drifting at 8:28 and 8:42. A single crow turned up at 8:42. Called in reinforcements again. At 9:10 it turned around and I saw the face for the first time. At 9:30 it hopped to end of branch with a full crop. It remained through end of observation at 10:39. Tallest pine roughly across from Greenwood Park near 90th and Fremont
