Деталі спостереження
*I detected one individual first by its bill clapping, with a rapid series unique to Neomorphus, then after about thirty seconds of recording bill snaps, it or the other individual started singing. In response to imitations, the second individual popped out from the other side of the trail. The pair was following below a group of monkeys, mostly squirrel monkeys with at least a couple brown capuchins. This is in the same spot as I had one last year, which was also associating with a similar group of monkeys, which raises the possibility that they are the same individual. The first individual crossed over the trail after a couple minutes, and the two individuals came into view a couple other times, but never staying still on the trail. At one point one individual lowered its wings to its sides and started stalking down the trail before quickly accelerating after a prey item; in another instance, one individual chased the other individual. In mature terra firme at 850 m on 10.
