Gözlem detayları
pale lores, rounded head, apparent wingbar, near south wall in shrubs. - hanging out in shrubs is certainly more what a Bells would do. Though I primarily know Warbling from the western subspecies, the rounded head and muted but distinct tones didn't remind me of a Warbling. But I haven't seen much of Warbling in the east, and that was many years ago. Sorry but I heard no vocalization to confirm either way.Comments attached from Howard Horne: The bird shows a prominent wingbar which is a feature of Bell's Vireo (BEVI); Warbling Vireo (WAVI) has plain wings without evidence of wingbars. BEVI is extremely rare in spring migration on the Alabama coast (it is most likely to be seen as a fall migrant).
