Then, find a small bridge over a dry creek that is among the Deodar Cedars, and walk east from the Nature Center over that small bridge into a large open dirt area that has five green wooden picnic tables. The peewee is quite cooperative and perches out in the open and calls incessantly, 100 ft east of here. This bird looks like an oversized Western Wood Pewee. It lacks the strongly vested look and the lower mandible is all orange.
